We just go back yesterday, and stayed 7 days at La Ceiba. Just a couple of quick comments:
1. We stayed in a studio (not the 10 story high rise next door)and thought the accomodations were pretty good. Kitchenette was nice to "eat in" or snack. Staff was very good. Concierge (Valerie and Dana) very helpful.
2. Drink prices pretty steep (plan on approx $5/drink). Seems to be typical throughout the island.
3. We just about had the entire place to ourselves (time of year??). Beach chairs are plastic resin and not very comforable.
4. We ate dinner one night beach side at La Chopa (in the hotel), and the food was excellent. Cost about $40 with one round of drinks, and tip. We found this to be typical prices. Ernesto's fajita factory is right down the block and was really good, and prices lower than alot of restaurants.
