I agree with Rosel. Please spend your money for lunch at Dzul Ha. They will provide tables, chairs, umbrellas, lounges, freshwater outdoor shower, and bathrooms across the street. They do this without charge. In order for them to stay open, they must do some sort of busines...hence, lunch. They're food is reasonably priced, tasty, and convenient.

I also agree that mopeds are dangerous. Way too many deaths on the island due to moped accidents. Even a non-fatal accident can ruin a vacation. There are taxis waiting at the ferry pier and it should cost less than $10 to get to Dzul Ha. I know they raised the fares, so I can't give you a better estimate. If you wish to rent a VW bug, they aren't too expensive either. Both will give you better odds for survival than a moped or a bike. I've heard it's hard to find decent bikes to rent. Haven't looked, but I've read reports.
