Come to think of it...Posted by Trudy on March 15, 2002 at 22:54:23: In Reply to: Easter, are things closed? Dzul-ha?, shopping? Restaurants? posted by Patti on March 14, 2002 at 08:28:28:
: Wondering about Easter Sunday, 3/31, was planning on going that day from PDC, as no cruise ships are in port that day, but wondering if things will be open? That was the best night my son and I experienced at Carlos and Charlies. All of the Mexican tourists were having their last fling and then had to head back to work the next day. The bar was wall to wall Mexicans instead of gringos. The music was nearly all in Spanish. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE was dancing. They were dancing on the dance floor, on the tables, on the chairs, in the aisles...no one sat or stood. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was singing with the music. The DJ turned off the lyrics and the song continued with the crowd singing. It was infectious! You couldn't help but feel happy and content. People were so friendly. I didn't want to leave...but when the closed, we had no option. So we moved to Kiss My Cactus. The crowd was the same, but the music was techno and to me, it all sounded the same. It was our first night on the island and I was tired from traveling all day. We didn't close Cactus...although Nick was all for it. :o)
