They were from the cruise ship, and needed to get back. The last reef that you snorkel after the buffet lunch is Dzul Ha, so you might want to reconsider the full day. It is so worth it since that is when Edwardo feeds some of the fish, and Dzul Ha is so beautiful. You will really get a chance to see some great marine life on this snorkel stop. Dzul Ha is the place where we saw the eagle ray! The other reefs, are nice also, I was kind of scared at Palancar because of the wall, we swam to the other side and it was like the Abiss, I was waiting for something to come out of the dark blue waters to get me, ha ha ha. But out of the 4 reefs, I would have to say the first and last one were the best. I hope this helps, you won't be disappointed! I know just what you mean about the abyss!! It scares me to no end, but I am in awe. I'm glad to see that someone else out there feels the same way. I, too, think....what is coming up to get me! lol It's irrational, but fear of the unknown is a biggy for me. :o)
