Diane,
Sounds like you may be a cruiser. I just did the day thing from a cruise in early Feb. We had the taxi take us to La Cieba Hotel (5 bucks for a taxi load). The hotel charged 7 dollars a person for the use of the facility for the day (restrooms,swimming pool). The dive shop on site rents for, I think, 6 or 7 dollars. Outstanding snorkeling right off the shore !
