Angie has given you great advice. One thing I would add is to take a lot of small bills ($1.00). Even at the all inclusive you will find that leaving a dollar or two gets you better service. Also, small bills are great for tips on the tours that you might take.
We stayed at the Paradisus last summer and have a trip to the Reef Club planned for December. Remember to post a trip report when you get back.
We, too, dove with Sand Dollar. We did the resort course since neither of us dive. We were very pleased with the safety factor and concern.
