Great infoPosted by Trudy on December 02, 2000 at 16:58:33: In Reply to: Dolphin swim/encounter posted by Dwayne on December 02, 2000 at 16:26:06:
: Can anyone help me? You might want to go to the Travelnotes board. They have a link to the Can-do map. They have three maps...Cancun, Maya Riviera, and Cozumel. You order the map or maps and they ship them to you. You look them over...find they are a wonderful tool full of information and you send them payment. I bought all three. They had a special package price. They are truly a wealth of information. If you don't order it ahead of time, you can go to the mini golf (tell the cab driver "golfito") and Sally and Scott have them for sale there. I don't know if they carry all three, or just the Cozumel one...come to think of it. Both parks are directly south of Playa del Carmen on the main highway. Just drive south and you will see signs for the turn-off for each. Xel Ha is closer than XCaret. I have only been to Xcaret and I thought it was a very nice, and diverse park. Xel Ha waters are not as clear for snorkeling. That's the only thing I've heard negative about it. I think it's due to the salt water and fresh water meeting...or it might be suntan lotion. I'm not sure. In addition, please read "My 2 cents" below concerning dolphins. Thanks.
