Hi- I am a student writing a research paper about how tourism affects the lives of the locals. Do they really enjoy the tourism? Are there any defense mechanisms used? How has the community adjusted to meet the needs of tourism? Are they afraid of the tourists stealing their culture or ruining the natural beauty and eco system of the island?

If you can offer any answers or any random info about the locals, please help me! I would truly appreciate it...
