any info for potential expats living in Cozumel?

Hello,

My husband and I are US citizens considering a move to Cozumel with our daughter who will be about 15 months old at the time. I have been searching the web to find some of these answers. I have found answers and websites regarding expats living/working in Mexico, but not specifally in Cozumel. I am hoping you may have some answers or advice for me.

What quality of daycare or in-home babysitting is available?

Are there any bi-lingual, multi-cultural schools available? I found an article for a Colegio Americana de Cozumel, but my email was returned noting an incorrect email address.

How about things like swim lessons and piano lessons for toddlers?

What quality of medical care is available for any future children we may have while living there?

What is the crime rate? What type of crime is most prevalent on Cozumel? Any violent crime concerns? Guns? Female assault?

Finally, would you recommend driving a vehicle down from the US or buying one in Cozumel?
