: We are staying at the Fiesta Americana. What can you tell us? I have heard about a good breakfast place above the museum, where is that from the Fiesta Americana? Are there any preferred sections at the Fiesta Americana? Thanks Carol

We have stayed at the Fiesta Americana twice. Very clean, nice hotel. We did not go All Inclusive as we like to eat at the many wonderful restaurants on Cozumel. We just ate breakfast at the hotel, usually not the buffet. We're not big eaters though. The "big store" in town has everything you will need for your day at any beach. We packed a foldup cooler that proved to be very helpful. Filled it with ice, beer, limes, pepsi, pringles and headed out to snorkel for the day. (Take a bottle opener) We usually snacked for lunch and then had a big evening meal. We haven't yet hit all of the restaurants, but two of our favorites so far are Primas (on the rooftop) and LeMissions. The Fiesta Americana is in a nice location. It's a short taxi ride to town, but during the day, it keeps you away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ship passengers downtown. Be sure to rent a VW convertible. It was a lot of fun to have. I would recommend a taxi to town at night if you drink at all. Also there is not a lot of parking available. Before we went the first time, I worried WAY too much about the food and water. My stomach is very sensitive but I did not have a problem. Drank bottled water even at the hotel, but had ice in my drinks at most of the restaurants. I'm not saying you won't get sick, but I don't think your chances are as high as on the mainland of Mexico. Hope you enjoy!
