Katy, I do Cozumel on a budget. There is no reason to spend a lot of money on food. The "local" restaurants have excellent food with large portions. The portions are normally so large that I split with a friend. Try Luncheria Las Palmas, Los Seras and La Mission (not the one on the plaza next to La Choza) which is on the main street, I believe 25th. ( the street with the gas station. These are restaurants that the local go to and the food is good! And for food near the square I love La Choza,ask for Nacho, he is my favorite waiter, he's great! Have fun.
