Well--here we are again, Edgar. Being an island, you will find Cozumel a little more expensive to live on and more of an "island" atmosphere which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Breaking into the island is a little tougher than in Cancun for example. Most jobs are taken and you usually need a "friend" to help you get a job. There are a couple of good timeshare hotels on the island and quite a few locations.
