Dive/Snorkel in Cozumel

We are in Playa in early May and are interested in a day trip to Cozumel for snorkeling/diving. He is interested in a “Discover” dive course - I want to try snorkeling for the first time.
We’d appreciate any recommendations on dive shops that might accommodate us both, or alternatively, suggestions on how we could each do our own thing but be in the same general area.
