: : : The recent boom in construction is due to a ban on new construction being imposed by the Mexican government effective 1-1-2000 for the entire Mayan Riviera area, including Cozumel. Projects need to be started to ensure a place on the island. The government wants to study ecological damage in the area and no ending time has been given, therefore the mad scramble!!!
: : : Rates will probably remain cheap for a little while but the long term chances for cheao rates in Coz may be ending.
