Re: Selecting the right dive shopPosted by mary in mn on February 21, 2000 at 19:34:03: In Reply to: Selecting the right dive shop posted by Sandy on February 12, 2000 at 12:38:21: : My family & I are going to be staying at the Allegro at the end of May. My husband & I are certified divers but are beginners. We went diving for the first time last year. My daughter just got her Jr. Cert. and this will be her first time. We are looking for an operator that takes out ONLY small groups, works with beginners and will have the patientce working with children and will make this experience for her FUN and not rushed and stressfull. SAFETY IS A MUST!!! : Any sugestions would be appreatited. We just returned from Cozumel and took the certification course from Staff Divers. They made us feel very safe and the most divers on our trips were 6. (mostly 4). Our instructor works freelance for them and his name was Oscar Perez Solis. He was very good and patient with me-always making sure I was o.k.. We worked with George at the shop and he was very polite and accomidating. There are many shallow dives that would be good for children. They have a web page on cozumel.net and cozumelonline. Just e-mail George. If you go please tell him mary from minnesota says hola and I will be back soon!
