AQUATECH CAVE INSTRUCTOR STAFF
STEVE GERRARD. Age 43. Cave diving since 1975. Teaching open
water since 1976 and cave diving since 1981. Originally from Tallahassee,
Florida, Steve has been diving in the Akumal-Tulum area since 1986. Most
experienced cave diver in Mexico. Established the first group trips for cave
diving to the Yucatan. Has been involved with the exploration of most cave
systems in the area. Has certified over 1300 cavern and cave divers. President
of the NACD - 1985-88. Editor of the NACD Journal - 1979-81 & 1986-1992.
Helps manage the Aquatech diving facility. Thoroughly enjoys teaches cave
diving and underwater cave photography. Lives permanently in Puerto Aventuras,
Mexico with wife - Katie.
BIL PHILIPS. Age 42. Cave diving since 1992. Teaching cave diving since 1995. Originally from Vancouver, Canada. Involved with exploring several
cave systems in the area. Bil's passion is finding new cenotes. Spends each
winter season helping the AQUATECH team with the cavern and cave touring and
teaching safe cavern/cave diving.
SAM MEACHAM. Age 29. Cave diving since 1994. Teaching cavern
and Intro To Cave courses during the past two years. Enjoys exploring and
underwater cave videography. Sam really shines when taking visiting cave divers
touring to the numerous cave systems. Lives permanently in Playa Del Carmen.
PABLO DIAZ. Age 27. Cave diving since 1992. Teaches cavern and
Intro To Cave courses since 1995. Enjoys underwater videography. Speaks
fluent spanish and english. Specializes in the cenote tours for our groups.
Lives permanently in Akumal, Mexio.

TONY DEROSA. AGE: 47. Full Cave Certified -
1986. Certified Divemaster. Has logged over 250 cave dives. First cave divers to explore Mayan Blue, PonDeRosa, Balanchanche and Taj Mahal. Biggest enjoyment is "flying" through the caves with DPV's. Owner of AQUATECH/VILLAS DEROSA.
NANCY DEROSA. AGE: 43. Full Cave certified-
1986. Certified Divemaster. Has logged over 200 cave dives. First cave divers to explore Cenotes Mayan Blue, PonDerosa, Balanchanche and Taj Mahal. Exceptional underwater model whose photos has graced several dive magazines and publications. Owner of AQUATECH/VILLAS DEROSA.
