Dos Ojos has more than 20 miles of permanent line instaled making it one of the worlds largest surveyed underwater caves. The name means two eyes in Spanish, so called because of the two large entrances seperated by only 150 ft. It connects with at least 8 other cenotes that I know about and has one of the two known deep springs in this area. Most of the system is at a depth of about 30 ft but last year a pit some 300 ft deep and 200 ft across was found deep in the system. Fresh water issues from an opening at the bottom. Incredible!
